Linda Song
Graduate Student

Linda grew up in Alhambra, CA before heading to Caltech to major in physics. During her undergraduate, she worked in the lab of Rob Phillips where she used fluorescence microscopy to study transcriptional regulation of the lac operon in E. coli at the single cell level. In 2011 Linda switched coasts and joined the Harvard Biophysics graduate program where she become enamored with single molecule techniques during lab rotations. In the Loparo lab, she is working in collaboration with David Rudner’s lab to study how bacterial chromosomes are organized by interactions with nucleoid-associated proteins. In her free time, Linda enjoys listening to music, ice skating, traveling, and going to Disneyland!
