We are an interdisciplinary laboratory with members whose backgrounds span the biological and physical sciences. Given our diverse backgrounds we strive to create an environment that facilitates the exchange of ideas between lab members. To that end we have weekly group meetings and often we eat lunch together along with members of the neighboring Walter lab. While each lab member has his or her own project, lab members are encouraged to work together to solve common problems. If you are interested in developing and applying single-molecule methods to study mechanistic questions in biochemistry contact us! Postdoctoral candidates should email Joe and include your CV and a brief description of your current research interests. Students affiliated with Harvard graduate programs can contact Joe directly to discuss rotation possibilities.

We currently have openings for both graduate students and postdocs! Undergraduate students are also encouraged to inquire about research opportunities.
